Breed Rescue

We have many members that can help identify a potential Greater Swiss Mountain Dog that might need the services of the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Rescue Foundation. We do ask that all potential rescue dogs be reported to the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Rescue Foundation (GSMDRF). It was formed in February of 2009 as a 501c3 organization to handle all rescue needs for the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. 

While we have members that will gladly assist any Swissy in need, the Lake Shore Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club, Inc., is not set up as a rescue organization. Therefore we ask all potential rescue dogs be reported to the Rescue Foundation. They will take the lead and request any assistance from our members.  

With the formation of this foundation, the GSMDCA no longer has a rescue committee. All inquiries about rescue, foster, adopting a rescue dog, or turning a dog over to rescue must be directed to the GSMDRF. All donations for rescue shoud be directed to the GSMDRF.
